John T. Baptist or John B. Goode? You decide...
John on keyboard

Thursday 24 April

John the Baptist stole the show yesterday by revealing a hitherto unknown musical side as he demonstrated some bitchin' dance moves to his own rendition of "Blame it on the Boogie" ("Filled by the Spirit moment there", he explained).

Then, later, he produced some stand-up rock'n'roll piano, as he led the crew in renditions of the only slightly altered Jerry Lee Lewis standard, "Great Pillars of Fire".

Peter and Job also joined in the action, Job giving us a particularly touching version of Don McLean's "American Pie", and Peter producing a song about boats and apostles last heard in your Sunday School. Peter's singing wasn't the clearest ("I will make you vicious old men"). Esther provided backing vocals.
